Karate 1 Balance

Drill targets:  Balance | Breathe | Focus | Swing arms & point glove

Practice Plan: 1x10

Pro Tip: Hold the ball and glove high above your head. Lift your glove-side knee with toe up. Lower your arms, swing forward into an arm circle, release the ball, and stay balanced until it’s caught. Focus on staying steady and strong!

T Drill with Balance

Drill targets:    Start ground force development | Arm swing | Hips opening to closing | Balance Throughout your pitch

Practice Plan: 1x12 reps

Pro Tip: Start with your feet together and arms in a 'T' position. Point your glove at the target with the ball facing down. Lift your glove-side knee high, then step, drag, snap, and follow through with control and balance!

Lunge Forward Lunge Back

Drill targets: Stability | Pushing off mound | Getting into triple extension: ankle, knee, hip

Practice Plan: 1x10

Pro Tip: Start on the mound with the ball in your glove. Lunge forward, then lunge back as your arms swing back. Push and drive off the mound, then drag, snap, and follow through with power and balance!
